The services at Metin Sabancı Center have been restructured pursuant to the Law on Disabled People enacted in 2005. The Special Education and Rehabilitation Center opened in 2007 made a major contribution to the Foundation’s access to more children with Cerebral Palsy.
In 2009 The Foundation visited and studied various special education schools in the west and accelerated feasibility studies to open Metin Sabancı Special Education Schools. Metin Sabancı Schools were opened in 2011 with contributions of the Sabancı Foundation and efforts of the Board of Trustees.
A Family Consultation Center was opened as a separate department in April in 2015 and started to provide services to safeguard family unity and integrity as well as early intervention and development monitoring programs for babies at risk Babies at risk, early response and development monitoring
Serving more than 30.000 children since its establishment, the Spastic Children’s Foundation of Turkey - Cerebral Palsy Turkey has become a reference institution in Turkey with its Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers, Metin Sabancı Special Education Schools and Family Consultation Center.
